Learning path
A clear stage-by-stage path, with a self-check at every step
Move through five stages at your own pace. Each one ends with a quick self-check so you know you're ready to continue.
Stage 1 of 5
Plan the audience and outcome
Start every project by clarifying who the course or e-book is for and what they should be able to do or know afterward. This becomes the filter for every later decision.
Self-check: can you describe the reader and the outcome in one sentence?
Stage 2 of 5
Build the outline from source material
Practice turning an expert's notes, transcripts, or research into a logical outline with clear sections and a sensible order.
Self-check: does every section in your outline map back to the stated outcome?
Stage 3 of 5
Draft lessons or chapters
Write and structure the first full draft, applying instructional patterns that keep material easy to follow from one section to the next.
Self-check: could someone unfamiliar with the topic follow your draft in order?
Stage 4 of 5
Edit and format for the reader
Tighten the language, build supporting worksheets or references, and format the material so it is accessible and easy to scan.
Self-check: is every heading, list, and worksheet consistent in style?
Stage 5 of 5
Coordinate sign-off and handoff
Route the finished material back to the subject-matter expert for factual review, confirm rights and permissions, and deliver a production-ready file.
Self-check: has the expert approved the facts, and is the file ready to hand off?
